Access Philanthropy Charities was founded in 2008 as the charitable nonprofit arm of Access Philanthropy, Inc. From the beginning, our purpose has been clear: lower the barrier to entry for purpose-driven organizations, and give them the infrastructure to do their best work.
What started as a service for organizations that already had funding in hand has grown into something broader — a true incubator that meets organizations wherever they are, from earliest vision to established operation. We've worked with groups that had a million-dollar grant waiting and no 501(c)(3) status, and with entrepreneurs who had a bold idea and nothing else.
Today, APC serves a growing portfolio of sponsored organizations, with a particular and intentional focus on those led by and serving Black, Brown, and other underserved communities.
We believe that access to financial infrastructure should never be the barrier between a great idea and real-world impact.
We function as an incubator for organizations just getting started and a long-term partner for those ready to grow.

Access is everything.
Too many high-potential organizations stall not because of a weak mission, but because they lack the legal and financial infrastructure to receive funding. We exist to remove that barrier.
Equity is non-negotiable.
We prioritize organizations committed to racial and ethnic communities and other underserved populations. This isn't a checkbox — it's central to why APC was created.
Transparency builds trust.
Our 5% administrative fee is flat, clear, and consistent. No hidden costs, no surprises. The organizations we serve deserve to know exactly where every dollar goes.
Partnership over paperwork.
We're not just a back-office processor. We show up as a coach, a connector, and a practical resource — invested in your long-term success, not just your compliance.
Accountability without bureaucracy.
APC operates as a flow-through fiscal sponsor. When donations or grants arrive on your behalf, we process the funds and forward them to your organization — minus our flat 5% fee. We do not hold or control your spending.
Your organization monitors, manages, and accounts for how funds are used in service of your mission. Our role is to provide the compliance infrastructure — annual 990 filing, CPA audit, attorney general registration — that funders and donors require. Sponsored organizations sign a simple MOU annually and submit a brief quarterly report. That's it.

Submit your request form. The APC board reviews and responds with next steps.
Sign the Annual MOU
Both parties sign a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement, renewed each year.
Receive & Use Funding
Donations and grants flow through APC. We forward 95% directly to you.
Report Quarterly
Submit a simple activity and expenditure report four times a year. That's it.
We Handle Compliance
APC files the 990, completes the annual CPA audit, and manages all regulatory reporting.
